The “Heroes for Hire” Are Back in POWER MAN AND IRON FIST #1 This Week!
It appears what’s old is new again with the release of POWER MAN AND IRON FIST #1 this week from Marvel comics. Yes the ultimate bromance is back in action as Danny Rand (Iron Fist) and Luke Cage (Power Man) are back on the streets doing what they do best…dishing out some pain to all the bad guys!
I get the impression that writer David Walker (DC’s CYBORG) is 100% excited about this book and is very passionate about crafting a fun and interesting story here. And holy cow does Sanford Greene (THE RUNAWAYS) look to be right at home with these characters. Just look at this concept art below and tell me he was not born to draw these characters.
Count me in! This looks gorgeous. I think it’s a great time to reintroduce these characters in their own book considering the already established version of Luke Cage in Netflix’s JESSICA JONES series as well as the upcoming IRON FIST series closing in on the horizon. Oh, and I think Luke Cage is getting a solo series too. So yeah, now’s the perfect time to put these dudes front and center and give them the love they deserve. I’ve got a great feeling about this new book. The writer is very enthusiastic, the artist is putting out some stunning images, and the heroes (for hire) are super cool and very likable in a “hey when is it out turn to shine!?” kind of way. So get to the shop this week and sniff out this new adventure that is brimming with promise.
