SAGA Volume 3 Anyone!?
At the moment, my comic book reading life is being ruled by Image Comics. Sure some may label me as a Marvel fanboy, but that desire fulfills my every nostalgic superhero need, while Image caters to the adult in me feeding my manchild brain full of mature stories that are not afraid to shock, entertain, and offend.
This is where SAGA comes in. It’s a book that really has everything a nerdy adult reader like myself thirsts for that grew up reading and watching sci-fi (more than I would like to admit). This book is pretty much completely insane walking the line between what can be thrown on a comic book shelf without a plastic sleeve. Don’t let your 8 year old nab this one off the shelf and casually flip through the pages unless you want to have a weird-ass version of “The Talk” prematurely.
But seriously people, writer Brian K. Vaughan has crafted something truly wonderful with SAGA and it’s only complimented by the beautiful art of Fiona Staples who is surely someone to look out for in the future. It’s a gift to comic book readers and if you haven’t jumped on the boat just yet, now’s the perfect time.
Those interested in catching up (it’s never too late!) can nab the first 6 issues in SAGA volume one that is only $9.99. Best deal in comics! Keep it going with volume 2 also available that collects issues 7-12. And just this week, eager fans can pick up volume 3 that includes issues #13-18 pretty much catching you up to the…er, saga. Check out the plot synopsis for volume 3 below, and get your happy sci-fi loving ass to the comic shop and pick up these fantastic books.

The Eisner, Harvey, and Hugo Award-winning phenomenon continues, as new parents Marko and Alana travel to an alien world to visit their hero, while the family’s pursuers finally close in on their targets.
