Place Your Bets on LANDO...It’s Good!

I’ll tell you what, yet another awesome STAR WARS mini series from Marvel simply called LANDO. Hot off the heels of the stellar PRINCESS LEIA mini series, Marvel wastes no time mining the nooks and crannies of that galaxy far far away. LANDO is especially interesting because we are dealing with a time before EMPIRE STRIKES BACK where our favorite scoundrel (alright second favorite) is doing all the things you would think he would including being suave with the ladies, gambling, and going on 60′s era inspired missions that will likely result in a close call or two along the way. Oh, and did I mention Lando is romping around with his bosom buddy Lobot who actually has lines! Very cool. It’s a real treat to see their relationship fleshed out a bit before the days of Cloud City and the rebellion.
This week marks the second printing of the stellar first issue and the release of issue #2 in this 5-part mini series. Here’s what Marvel has to say about this fun new title:

Overall, it’s safe to say Marvel’s STAR WARS comics, both ongoing and mini-series like, have been far above average giving us fans something to chew on before the release of Episode VII in December. As for is LANDO matches the quality of the other titles, well I think Calrissian himself said it best:
You truly belong here with us among the clouds.
