OH, KILLSTRIKE #2 Hits Shelves This Week!
If you are reading this and did not check out OH, KILLSTRIKE #1 last month you should go look in the mirror and shake your head at yourself in disappointment…seriously, I’ll wait.
Done!? Great, now we can get to business. Writer Max Bemis and artist Logan Faerber have crafted a wonderfully unique and engaging universe in OH, KILLSTRIKE that is sure to please anyone who grew up obsessed with superhero comics in the 90′s. If you are reading this, I’m likely talking about you. Basically an aging comic book fan realizes he is in possession of one of the worst comic books in history and soon realizes it is worth a small fortune since just about everyone else threw their copy to the curb. Oh, and did I mention that the main hero in said comic (a muscle-bound, gun toting, man ape) crawls out of the pages and into our reality…Pretty cool premise huh!? What ensues is a damn fine read and will easily have you laughing out loud at how absurd it all is. Bemis’ dialogue is just perfectly paired with Faerber’s artistic touch crating a comic book team-up for the ages!
This week marks the release of issue #2 in this 4 part series. I’d highly recommend snatching issue #1 while your at it. Heres a peak at what to expect in issue #2:
Killstrike and Jared travel to New York City to visit the comic book company his father was employed with before his disappearance. While waiting for the meeting, Killstrike gives Jared a few lessons on being a “tough guy.”
If you have a few extra bucks at the comic shop this month (and you may not thanks to Marvel’s SECRET WARS craziness), OH, KILLSTRIKE will be worth it trust me on this one folks.
