CHRONONAUTS Mini-Series Concludes This Week

When a powerhouse team-up between writer Mark Millar (KICK-ASS) and artist Sean Murphy (PUNK ROCK JESUS) happens in the comic book world it’s probably a good idea to take a look. The end result is the amazingly fast and fun 4-part mini-series CHRONONAUTS. In case you ever wondered what it would look like if two scientific geniuses, who also love to have fun and party, were to take hold of the time stream and do whatever they wanted…well look no further because that’s what this book is all about. Let’s just said a lot can go wrong and does. 

This week marks the end of the mini-series with the overstuffed CHRONONAUTS #4 where all the crazy shenanigans from past issues is coming to a head. Here’s a peak at what to expect from Image Comics:

MINISERIES CONCLUSION Captured by enemies and robbed of their ability to time travel, Danny and Quinn have created the biggest mess the space-time continuum has ever seen. Now, it’s up to them to defeat the bad guys, fix past wrongs, and escape the wrath of their bosses! The finale to this sci-fi buddy adventure features MORE breathtaking Sean Murphy art-with MORE soldiers, MORE dinosaurs, and a conclusion to leave you clamoring for a sequel!

If you haven’t jumped into this series yet I’d say now is as good a time as any as the back issues should not be that hard to come by seeing how there are only 4 issues total. Also, I’d try and sniff out some of those awesome alternate covers including nods to BACK TO THE FUTURE, TOP GUN, and LETHAL WEAPON. They are seriously some of the best alternate covers I have seen and worth seeking out. It also doesn’t hurt that CHRONONAUTS has already been picked up by Universal Pictures for the big screen treatment. And yes, I would absolutely love to see how a project with this kind of scope would translate on the big screen. Let the speculation begin on casting.
