Marvel and STAR WARS Together Again!
Oh boy I have a good feeling about this new rekindled relationship between Marvel and STAR WARS. It just feels right. A big part of reorganizing the official STAR WARS canon, now that it’s owned by Disney, is to get a solid line of comic books out there that will hopefully pull in new readers. The (new) hope is that those who felt lost in the plethora of Dark Horse comics can finally chew on something and not be so damn lost and lifelong fans looking for something fresh yet familiar can feel warm and cozy with the characters they love.
STAR WARS #1 is the first of what will likely be a crap load of new titles taking place in the Star Wars Universe. Taking place between the events of A NEW HOPE and EMPIRE STRIKES BACK, readers will immediately be familiar with the characters, tone, and direction of this new book. Smart move if you ask me. Start where it all began.
And Marvel is sparring no expense with the creative talent. The extremely talented Jason Aaron (THOR) is joined by fan favorite John Cassaday (ASTONISHING X-MEN) creating a powerhouse team that I’m 100% can deliver the goods to all us eager readers.
