Mar 6th - Papa Tumor Opening Reception
Papa Tumor will open on March 6th, 2015. You are cordially invited to attend.
Mar 6th - 7pm RSVP on facebook
Body by Body, the collaborative artist duo will have a show at Mission Comics in San Francisco. There will be colorful posters plastered to white walls and an annoyingly collaged music track cut to 12” vinyl playing on a record player on the floor. The posters and sound show an intense grappling with the harmony of pure beauty and the breakthrough to a fiery consciousness of human injustice, and a deep anarchic humor. The show is monumental and extremely shocking. A new lyricism in art.
Mission Comics is a gallery of collage, sculpture and painting. All imitators and “cocktail” painters are banned from showings. Mission Comics shows only new spirits and the old real spirits themselves.
The public is invited to Mission Comics to see an exploration of the new aesthetic of art in all of its forms. Its representations are for public sale.
Quintessa Matranga (pronounced Mah-trah-ngggg-ah) is the curator of the gallery. Matranga, an artist herself, chooses exhibits upon the basis of their Strength. All that is bold and contemporary has been shown with the old masters of modern art. Mission Comics has brought beauty and aspiration to its exhibits.
Mission Comics has made the exhibitions available for both collectors of contemporary art and those who find themselves stirred by the new beauty.
Best wishes from MISSION COMICS
