The Unearthed Spider Codex presents a view of Spider-Man’s world through a Pre-Columbian lens. Through paintings and drawings this show depicts Spider-Man and the Sinister Six re-envisioned with Mayan and Aztec aesthetics. Explore how these two subjects come together and form a new and exciting way of seeing these classic characters.

Ozi Magaña is an emerging Bay Area artist and fine arts student specializing in oil painting, charcoal sketches, and digital art. He is currently interested in the human form and how it relates to the concepts of light/dark and the emphasis of color. Aside from his personal works he has also done a number of commissioned pieces where he shows his ability to take the client’s concept and brings it to reality with his own special touch. He values creative freedom and finds inspiration through the aesthetics and struggles of everyday life. He finds he likes to paint with an audience not only to show how a painting is accomplished but to have the energy from the people watching fuel and guide the end result. http://www.ozimagana.com/
