WONDER WOMAN REBIRTH #1 Should Not Be Missed

DC is rebirthing all over the place and Miss Diana Prince is the next big hero to take center stage.

First and foremost, you must read the one-shot DC UNIVERSE REBIRTH to get all comfy with the new status quo in the new DC Universe. It sets the stage for what’s to come and is the best jumping-on point we’ve had with DC that I can ever remember. Just come equipped with a basic knowledge of the big heroes and an open mind and you will be just fine.

Last week saw the first one-shot re-introductions for BATMAN, SUPERMAN, GREEN ARROW, and GREEN LANTERNS. This week FLASH and AQUAMAN get a turn as well as WONDER WOMAN. And let me say, WONDER WOMAN has been the book I’m most excited about.

Writer Greg Rucka is the main reason for all my excitement as he has proven to be an absolute powerhouse in the comics industry delivering great books including WHITEOUT, QUEEN & COUNTRY, BLACK MAGICK, and LAZARUS as well as some DC favorites like GOTHAM CENTRAL, and even a bunch of WONDER WOMAN already. The man is a beast and I’m glad to have him back in a huge way with DC.

After suffering an unimaginable loss, Wonder Woman must rebuild her mission as Earth’s ultimate protector and champion. DON’T MISS: New York Times best selling writer Greg Rucka returns to Wonder Woman with a tale that will forever alter the DC icon.

Keep in mind, I’m approaching all of these DC “Rebirth” books as somewhat of a newcomer. Sure I know more about these heroes than the average joe, but I haven’t consistently bought an ongoing DC book besides BATMAN in several years. I’m excited to jump back into this universe head first and so far the water is very warm. Bring it on WONDER WOMAN.
