Two New MARVEL NOW! Titles Revealed: THUNDERBOLTS and CABLE AND X-FORCE

Now here are two MARVEL NOW! titles I am highly looking forward to reading.

First up is one that Marvel hinted at last week with the tag line “Thunder” that had nerds across the globe guessing (pretty accurately) at the possibilities. It is now confirmed that the title is a new ongoing series titled THUNDERBOLTS written by Daniel Way with art by Steve Dillon. This relaunch will feature a team consisting of Red Hulk (Previously General “Thunderbolt” Ross), Punisher, Electra, Venom (looking rather cool), and Deadpool. This is a very awesome sounding team that will likely be taking care of business in a more violent way similar to the current run of X-FORCE. Count me in!

 

Up next is is the return of Cable in CABLE AND THE X-FORCE and he is in charge of the team once again! Sure the name is the same but the team is much different. Besides Cable, we see the return of Domino (a previous love interest with Cable), Colossus, Forge, and Dr. Nemesis. Dennis Hopeless will write with Salvador Larroca (one of my favs!) and Frank D'Armata providing art. I would follow Cable anywhere and this new book looks pretty awesome.

While I am still a bit befuddled (yes, Marvel has forced me to use the word ‘befuddled’) with the choice to “relaunch” the universe, a lot of these new titles are looking to be pretty promising. I suppose we will all find out later this year if the “relaunch” was a good idea.
