THE WALKING DEAD: “THE WHISPERER WAR” Rages On!

It’s cool if you’re a fan of AMC’s THE WALKING DEAD. If so, have you read the comic? No? That’s ok, I’m not gonna sit here and tell you that you’re missing out on the superior version of this franchise, buuuuut you’re missing out on the superior version of this franchise! I’m a hypocrite, deal with it. In all seriousness, watch the show, but please for the love of Rick Grimes’s nub read the comic book too!

And if you are reading, you know that the newest arc titled “The Whisperers War” is something special. A lot of storylines have come to a head leading to this point, yet this new arc can be considered a good “jumping on” point for people that don’t want to read #156 issues to catch up. While those 156 issues are glorious, I can relate. You may want to at least read issue #156, taking place directly before this new arc, because a pretty huge thing happens setting up this new story.

NEW STORY ARC ‘THE WHISPERER WAR,’ Part One The time has come. The forces are aligning. The war has begun! Has Rick brought about the demise of everything he’s built? Or will he triumph once again? Know this, there will be a cost.

Here’s a hint to people that may no read a lot of comics…when the publisher gives a very short and uninformative synopsis for an issue, chances are something big is about to happen. And in THE WALKING DEAD, when something big happens…it’s BIG. 

My advice, pick up all the collected volumes leading up to this new arc, read them all day everyday until you are caught up, then nab these two new issues in “THE WHISPERERS WAR” arc and continue to buy new issues…forever. Orrrrrr, just get issue #156 and up and learn why this comic book is the superior version of this franchise. Thank me later.
