Perfect Time to Catch Up On Mike Mignola's HELLBOY IN HELL

I’ll try not to spoil anything for those of you not caught up on HELLBOY, but damn if the title of this latest series doesn’t do it for me. Yup, you guessed it, Hellboy is in…well…hell. After the events of his previous series (which I can safely say I won’t spoil), our red-horned hero finds himself in the titular pit of fiery turmoil.

Author/Illustrator Mike Mignola is back as a series regular after some time away from the character and is accompanied by illustrator Dave Stewart for HELLBOY IN HELL. And damn does this book look pretty. It’s an absolute joy to have Mignola back doing what he does best! Check out this brief plot synopsis to see what this new book from Darkhorse is all about.

After saving the world in The Storm and the Fury but sacrificing himself and Great Britain, Hellboy is dead, cast into Hell, where he finds many familiar faces and a throne that awaits him.

Mike Mignola returns to draw Hellboy’s ongoing story for the first time since Conqueror Worm. It’s a story only Mignola could tell, as more of Hellboy’s secrets are at last revealed, in the most bizarre depiction of Hell you’ve ever seen. Collects issues #1–#5.

Dammit, that synopsis damn near spoiled what I was trying not to spoil up above. In any case, now is the perfect time to jump in on this book. The Trade paperback collection for HELLBOY IN HELL (issues #1-5) hits store shelves this week alongside issue #6 so you have no reason to not be all caught up after this week.
