New DC Comics: I, Vampire
For hundreds of years, vampire Andrew Stanton kept mankind safe from the horrors of the supernatural world, thanks to a truce he made with his ex-lover Mary, the Queen of the Damned. But now the truce has reached a bloody end and Andrew must do everything in his power to stop Mary and her dark forces from going on a killing spree – and she plans to start with the heroes of the DCU!
Written by JOSHUA HALE FIALKOVThis is one of the books I was initially most dubious about, especially being that it was a based on barely remembered characters from the 80s. But I recently caught up on some of the things Fialkov has written, and he’s a strong writer, with a strong interest in the psychology of his characters. Then there’s been previews of Sorrentino’s artwork which look spectacular!

Yes, vampires are over-done, but I’m curious what a vampire has to do to survive in world with Superman and the Justice League. What happens when they want to do more then just “survive”?
