New DC Comics: Captain Atom
Charged by nuclear energy, possessing vast molecular powers, Captain Atom has the potential to be a literal god among men – a hero without limits. But the question is: Will he lose himself in the process?
Written by J.T. KRULI’m not much of a fan J.T. Krul’s writing, but I have to admit I’m curious about this new “Dr. Manhattan”-ized take on Captain Atom, focusing on the character’s detachment and isolation. I really liked the last quasi-reinvention of the character as the Breach. Freddie Williams’ idea to artistically separate their protagonist by with grey wash seams brilliant, and I hear the collaboration between the writer and artist has been blowing insider’s socks off! This could easily be a sci-fi sleeper hit.
