Got $10? Pick up Remender's BLACK SCIENCE Vol. 1 already!
Image Comics is really stepping up their game with their creator-owned titles these days. The cherry on top is that most of the “volume 1” collections retail for a measly $10. Speaking of stepping up their game, writer Rick Remender is kicking all kinds of ass in the comic book industry whether it be his cult hit FEAR AGENT, his Marvel work on such titles as UNCANNY X-FORCE and CAPTAIN AMERICA, or one of his latest ventures in the form of BLACK SCIENCE at Image.
BLACK SCIENCE is my kind of sci-fi. It’s mysterious and moody, full of weird creatures and characters, and maintains a great sense of humor that is coupled with an adventurous “what’s going to happen next” storyline. And to further compliment all of these wonderful elements, artist Matteo Scalera (DEAD BODY ROAD) hits a home run making what was already a great book even better! I’m telling you the Remender/Scalera team up is a match made in heaven. “Scalender”!? Sure why not? I’d buy that shirt…

Really what I’m trying to do here is get you off your seat, rustle up $10 in loose change from under your couch cushion and give BLACK SCIENCE a shot. Off the top of my head I can think of a handful of $10 Image Trades worth your while and BLACK SCIENCE is near the top of that list for sure.
